I have to disagree with the article. It would be very hard to kill someone solely from putting LSD in their food. Ergot poisoning, on the other hand, can have serious physical effects, including death.

It is possible to kill someone with LSD if you give them a gigantic dose and they aren't prepared for the effects, and they end up, say, jumping off a roof because they don't perceive distance correctly.
