you know, while i am all for reporting this incident and its gravity, reading this i just feel like it's a continuation of the violation - and i feel violated reading it. it's a bit voyeuristic isn't it? ooooh let's examine every detail of the violence against this woman by this raving lunatic. it's sickening.

Is Charles Alan Wilson the name he goes by, or is his middle name being included for that special psychotic emphasis? (Charles Nelson Riley, notwithstanding.)

Last time I was in Yakima, everyone was wearing those "sneaker shoes."

| always wonder how people this out of touch with reality function on a day to day basis. How are they able to hold down a job?

Another poll:

A Rasmussen poll released Monday found more Americans identify with the Tea Party groups than with President Obama.

According to the survey, 48 percent of voters said the average Tea Party activist is more aligned with their views on major issues than the president. Forty-four percent said Obama's views are closer to theirs.

The Rasmussen poll of 1,000 likely voters was taken April 2-3. It had a margin of error of 3 percentage points.

That came on top of a USA Today/Gallup poll that found more than a quarter of Americans affiliate themselves with the Tea Party movement.

The poll of 1,033 adults, conducted March 26-28, found 28 percent of people call themselves Tea Party supporters, while 26 percent call themselves opponents.

The survey also found that Tea Party supporters are not disproportionately dominated by any one demographic group. The characteristics of Tea Party supporters -- in age, education, income and race -- roughly follow the characteristics of the nation as a whole.

The Gallup poll had a margin of error of 4 percentage points.

@4-This example is 64 years old, so he's likely retired or self-employed. I'm sure a good handful of them are SSI, which of course is ironic, and the rest are probably either very private people, or insufferable co-workers.

This poor man needs help. There is so much rage, it sounds like he is being eaten alive by it. I think his issues aren't just about health care, pro-life, government woes either, his continual "fuck you cunt, you fucking Pike Street fucking slut" suggests that he has problem with women. Maybe, I'm wrong, but he sure sounds like a lonely, rejected man that is angry at the world. And, he sounds like he is a danger to himself as well as a threatening stalker. I'm glad he has been arrested, but I feel bad for him too. I hope they get him some help.

I'm curious as to how Health Care 'ruined his life'.

you're on the right track, Kim. i would add that his wife probably divorced him because he physically and verbally assaulted her and the kids, and he hasn't stopped bitching about her since. i'm also guessing his health is shot, with obesity just about a sure bet, and alcoholism not far behind. at root, i don't think this is about health care reform. it is, as Kim said, hatred of women, and Patti Murray was just a convenient target and the symbol of everything he hates about women.

@3 - I think he's referencing her "Mom in tennis shoes" slogan.
11
For some reason I get the feeling that all the whore/cunt language is a big turn on for him, and he was probably furiously masturbating while leaving those messages.
12
I became desensitized to the actual cusses and became more offended at the use of dear or baby in that oh so diminuitive tone.
13
I don't care if he gets help; I hope he gets caught. Lonely rejected man my foot.

Speaking of frothing nut-bags, did you know April 6th is Michelle Bachman's birthday? You can sign her b-day card HERE. It's already been heavily trolled by wonkette and gawker commenters, so they've got quite a few chuckle-worthy messages already, but I thought slog commenters could beat even them in piquancy.
15
I suggest he be given a copy of the Health Care Reform bill to read while in jail...
16
Why is The Stranger trying so hard to canonize this sad nutbag?

"Pike Street Whores"

WTF?

There are no whores on Pike Street...sluts, yes; whores no...

and, they're male sluts not 60 year old women in tennies.
18
Didn't Congress pass the health care bill with the Stupak Amendment, which excluded funding for abortions? What's the point of throwing the Teabaggers a bone if they won't fucking recognize it?
19
No, Brandon. The Stupak amendment was in the original House bill, and the bill that we got was the original Senate bill, with a few non-stupak house additions.

Not that that addresses the fact that the bill saves more babies than it kills.

I was just reading through the actual court filing document and notice this guy rants on about the death panels (or as he calls it, the "end-of-life classes"). Guess we can thank good ol Sarah Palin for that misinformation.

It may have already been mentioned, but the court filing document, with this nutjob's comments, are located here: http://www.seattlepi.com/dayart/20100406…

Please wait...
