Armed with a staple gun, a man allegedly smashed a window with a brick in an attempted burglary at a Fremont business on Saturday, reports Fremont Universe. No one was hurt and the easel he was attempting to steal was recovered outside. Rainier Valley Post and SeattleCrime report on a more serious armed crime: Police reports were released Friday about a drive-by incident that happened late last month. According to the police report, two 18-year-old high school students were in the parking lot of a minimart on Rainier Avenue South and South Cloverdale when a blue and yellow Oldsmobile Cutlass, with a picture of Bart Simpson on the side, pulled up. The driverâallegedly part of the "Down Wit It Crew" gangâinsulted the slain brother of one of the teens, fired several rounds, and drove off. No one was injured and the Bart-mobile remains at large. And in other news involving violent young men, there was an apparent fight club going on in the baseball field parking lot next to Whitman Middle School in Crown Hill, MyBallard reports. According to a witness, there was a "fifty person fight club going on... It was mostly two or three people fighting at a time with the rest of the mass just yelling and pushing." The participants were described by the witness as mostly 19- to 21-year-old males who scattered and ran when police arrived.
