That is fucking awesome.
3
Wow. I glanced at the picture first, then had to do a double take when I read 'Istanbul'.
4
Sweet!
5
really moving.
6
How moving. Freedom marches on.
7
As you would say, Dan -- we're winning.
8
To be clear: this is Istanbul, not Constantinople. Been a long time gone, Constantinople.
9
Whoa baby, I thought NYC Pridefest yesterday was crowded. Good times!
10
Hey Banna, why'd Constantinople get the works?

Great pictures, though.
11
Southern Gentleman, that's nobody's business but the Turks.

That aside, this picture really made me smile. Thank you, Dan, for passing it along.

Brings a tear to the eye. As a species we've come so far in a generation when it comes to tolerance. Got a ways to go for sure, but this shit gives me hope for the future of the human race.

At least until the next Every Child Deserves a Mother and Father post. Could we not have any of those today, Dan? I'd like to bask in the glow for a scant 24 hours.

Just behind that nice red trolley I think I see Reuven Carlyle on a Razor scooter. He goes all the way to Istanbul then doesn't walk the route. What a lazy bum.
14
Looks so much more fun and VITAL than Seattle's pride parade (with how many commercial interruptions)?
15
Intertextuality: Just a few posts up, some idiot Seattleite complains that Seattle's new density doesn't work and that he and other idiot Seattleites are anathema to it because it's too dense.

İstiklâl Caddesi looks awesome packed with pride!

Great picture! :) Thanks for sharing, Dan.

Please wait...
