Glenn Beck is planning a Tea Bag rally in Washington D.C. on August 28th, in front of the Lincoln Memorial. What's so wrong with that? Oh. Oh, dear.

Beck plans to hold a “Restoring Honor” Tea Party rally at the Lincoln Memorial on August 28, the anniversary of the great civil rights March On Washington at which [Martin Luther King, Jr.], standing before the Lincoln Memorial, delivered his historic “I Have A Dream Speech.”

Hosting a (no doubt entirely white) Tea Bag Party at the same location and day as an iconic moment in civil rights history is kind of a head-smacking moment. But that's okay, because Glenn Beck has compared himself to Martin Luther King many times. Case in point (with a timely Senator Byrd shout-out, no less):

Of course, when Beck's not comparing himself to King, he's calling King a "radical socialist." The best thing about being Glenn Beck is that you get to have everything both ways.
