Online "universities" that leave you no more educated than when you started are nothing new. What's remarkable about this venture is that it may hold the distinction of being the first university of its kind to actually produce graduates who know less than when they started.

Don't know if glenn beckwatch covered it or not, but one of last week's Daily Show episodes had this great piece and footage of him (Beck, natch) talking about soccer and how Americans who are getting caught up in world cup action are predisposed to be socialists, or maybe homosexuals. It was breathtakinglyfuckingwonderfulandawesome. Maybe I'll see if I can find a link here...

(actually it's Stewart & John Hodgman that draw the parallels between soccer & nazism. Still is well worthwhile. Beck's money quote = "The soccer thing -- I hate it so much, probably because the rest of the world likes it so much..." and then the obligatory "cram it down our throats" line.)

Its times like these I wonder how, HOW, america has not created more terrorists. Like, you are telling me NOBODY has thought that Glenn Beck is too dangerous to live? Nobody has tried to off the man? His views are just as polarizing as others that have been killed.
