So, will this DEIS actually have any specifics on the impacts of the NEWLY DESIGNATED federally protected fish species that exist in Puget Sound and the impact of this tunnel on their watershed?

Or, how about the new EPA REGULATIONS regarding Global Warming Emissions - emissions for which King County is ALREADY in violation of? That will be INCREASED due to fans and pumps running 24/7/365 ...

Ooh, this is going to be fun ...

The Tunnel - going right up Dominic's ass before you know it.

Be nice, people. I'm sure that between the Stranger brain trust and us whizbang Slog commenters we'll piece together a most lucid analysis.
4
Oh, would this be the study that is legally required before a solution is chose, but that still isn't done?
5
I heard the tunnel once sat next to Dino Rossi at a charity dinner in Bellevue. And it donated to Mark Sidran's last campaign.

The Stranger knows just what to do with this information.

@4 you are correct.

And, bonus points, the addition of FEDERAL fish species and FEDERAL EPA violations for global warming gasses means it requires a FULL FEDERAL EIS, not just a WSDOT/SDOT EIS.

The lack of one leaves a giant hole open for very successful lawsuits and recalls of incumbent politicians.

Will,
For your information, WSDOT will publish a joint NEPA/SEPA SDEIS this fall. So yes, all applicable federal, state AND local regs are considered in that document.

Please wait...
