Oh alcohol, is there anything you can't make better?

I'd like to see the WA ranchers of grass-fed cattle try organic red wine... "Stumblin' Hooves!"

Celebrity cow rehab. A&E potential!

Do the chickens get whites?

My mom used to raise all sorts of livestock. Her trick to getting a prizewinning fair pig was feeding it beer mixed with jello--high calorie and (from the pig's perspective) delicious. I imagine it's a similar thing for the cattle.

This actually makes a lot of sense.

HA! How about this one from Time Magazine. "Heavy Drinkers outlive Non-drinkers." Cheers!

@4: Ohhhhhh. *puts head down on desk*

The Japanese have been doing this for years. Kobe beef anyone?

@9 Canadians are classier than the Japanese, apparently...

It already seems insane to some vegitarians that people feed perfectly good food to animals, so that they can eat those animals and get a small fraction of that nutrition back. But at least you normally end up with food. Wasting gallons of perfectly good wine and you don't even get a buzz from the beef???

I hear if you feed cows diamonds it makes them taste even better.

What I don't understand is why beef needs to be extra-tender. If you don't want something to sink your teeth into and chew down on, you shouldn't be eating red meat.

In Canada, the cows tip themselves.

Please wait...
