The police shooting in Spokane is a great one, too--cop shoots minister, then puts off his deposition for a week so he can go on vacation. Echoes of Otto Zehm.

I keep wondering how much of this spawned off that one asshole cop throwing the girl off the wall on tape in the jail. Didn't either Montfort or the other guy say his actions were in response to that? Then multiple cops are suddenly being shot all over, now they're all understandably anxious and more likely to use deadly force? Or am I misinterpreting?

Ill be there, but I was told by a friend that there would be another vigil Tuesday at 5:30pm at the location of Boren & Howell.

I don't know with any certainty the details of this situation, but I will still form a concrete opinion one way or another. Hooray for opinions. Hooray for reaction to limited information. Viva la SPD/John Williams (or visa versa).

Joe Szilagyi- Multiple cops being shot all over? I might have missed something, but since the tragic slaying of four lynwood cops I don't think any seattle area cops have died. Its probably true though that cops are more jumpy because of Montfort's actions. It still seems cruel that William's was shot.

Stringer- The facts for me atleast are all there, a man who was deaf was whittling with a three inch knife when a cop shot him after he didn't respond to requests to put the knife down. This seems like an unnecesary death.

...And the cops wonder why they are being hunted.
