The Vatican appointed James Peter Sartain this morning to be the spiritual shepherd to Catholics around Seattle. He's not nearly as conservative as some had feared. A quick search of the internet does show that Seattle's new archbiship comes from Illinois, where earlier this year he "removed a local pastor from his parish duties following revelations that the priest had engaged in a homosexual relationship with another man."
