Stewart still has it! Too bad Maddow took so much offense to his critique of 24 hr news including, in part, MSNBC. I think her self defense derailed the interview and missed his point entirely. I like how Stewart pokes fun at hypocrisy or stupid things people do regardless of the red/blue paradigm. Clearly, he’s on the same side as Maddow, just less tribal.
@1: Considering that the military brass is mostly in favor for repealing DADT, and that typically the military leans Republican - your statement falls somewhat flat.
@9, that is one part I couldn't quite understand. I can only assume he’s baiting Bush for an interview. However, I do get what he's saying and would agree that Bush is a war criminal but then that also means a lot of other presidents are too. And I think they should be recognized as such.
I've been reading you since 1996. I kinda feel like we're friends. And I am so proud of this campaign. I've used it in my own counseling of LGBTQ kids, at schools, and in causal conversations. Wish I could call you to tell you about it, and send you kisses for the simple brilliance of the idea, but then I remember -- we're not REALLY friends, I've just been staying in touch with you constantly for 14 years.
Sorta feels like we're friends. Or that I'm a creepy stalker.
I love this point of view on McCain, something not many people have pointed out, that someday...he's going to be seen as the crotchety old villain in all of this.
Loved it!
They're dead on regarding his legacy.
