Sigh.

I so long for the day when reporters and journalists will cease attaching the suffix "-gate" to every scandal.

It simply looks like laziness and unoriginality on the part of the media and its overuse has made the term unimpactful.

"-gate" is shorthand for "no daily funds monthslong investigations any more so please accept this memorial hype."

Sorry, guys. I wanted to call it "WikiLeaks DocuDump." But "-gate" was already in wide circulation.

That's okay - sometimes you have to go with the obvious when you're copying and pasting fast.
