At least some of the fugitive members of the Wisconsin State Senate Democratic Caucus have been found safely across state lines, at the Best Western Rockford Clock Tower Resort in Rockford, Illinois. Despite the resort's many luxurious amenities rooms are still available, starting at the low rate of only $99 per night... though this being Illinois, politicians enjoy an additional 30 percent discount.

Meanwhile, back on the other side of the Cheese Curtain:

State Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald ordered the Wisconsin State Patrol to round up Democratic state senators who did not show up when the Senate was called to session Thursday morning.

"Why don't they at least have the courage to come back and voice their opinions in a Democratic way? Why do they think they can just hop on a bus and have a little holiday while the business of the people is left undone?" state Sen. Alberta Darling said.

And there's nothing more democratic, I suppose, than denying workers the right to organize.
