Col Gaddafi said the whole world looked up to Libya and that protests were "serving the devil".

He urged his supporters to go out and attack the "cockroaches" demonstrating against his rule.

He really called the protesters "cockroaches"? He really wants to go down that path? The Rwanda path?

"In Rwanda they referred to Tutsis as cockroaches," explains Omaar. "They were not human beings. This is very important to understand, [there are] very close parallels to what happened in Hitler's Germany. [They said,] 'Don't worry, you're not killing humans like you. You are killing some vermin that belongs under your shoe. You're killing cockroaches.'"

Man, it seems like only yesterday I was having a good laugh at the expense of this dictator's eccentricities:
