Katamari Damacy was a fun, silly little thing that became a legend. The cheaply made, student-designed game launched seven years ago this week and spawned five sequels, all based on the easily grasped mechanic of running around a small map rolling shit up into balls that keep growing as you collect more shit. Kids, penguins, cats, candy, ice cream stands, police officers—it's all fair game, as long as you've got big enough balls. The freak-pop music could not be better suited to the game, and the soundtracks are well worth tracking down.
And so, hoping to avoid a P. Constant mouth-punch, we offer our fondest hope for the future of Katamari: Deep integration. We want Katamari Google Earth, Twitter-mari, Foursquare Katamari (who's the Mayor of All Cosmos?) and an army of Princes and Cousins roaming the streets using their smartphones and tablets to roll katamari as they go to work or endure their walk of shame.
One step in the right direction is this sweet Katamari hack that lets you roll up any web page you visit. Check this site for instructions or get the easy details after the jump.

- This is you.
Roll your own Katamari site:
- Load up the page you want to roll.
- Paste this code into the location bar: javascript:var i,s,ss=['http://kathack.com/js/kh.js','http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.5.1/jquery.min.js'];for(i=0;i!=ss.length;i++){s=document.createElement('script');s.src=ss[i];document.body.appendChild(s);}void(0);
- Tweak the settings and close the settings window.
- Use the right button to grab your katamari and roll on!
(Note: we've tested it on Chrome and Firefox for Windows and Safari and Firefox for Mac, and other than some wonky business with the Mac's trackpad, it all adds up.)
