Special of the Day "German Sprout Soup".
2
Whoa. Thank you so much for the heads up!
3
I'm not vegan or veg, but there's a few of these franchises around SF and am actually kinda curious. Curious about their food and how they operate.
4
wow, I had the exact opposite experience with this place. I used to really like the Loving Hut. I went back there awhile ago to find that it had switched management. The new restaurant was some of the most terrible food I've ever had. Will not ever go back.
5
@ 4, if you went immediately after they switched, you're being too harsh. Give them another chance.
6
...or did I read that wrong and they recently switched management (again)? I'm talking about the awesomeness that was once the vegan garden.

My husband and I frequent the SF branch located in the heinous Bloomingdales mall food court every now and then. We refer to the place as Beloved Cunt in honor of one of our favorite episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Hey! Forgot all about that place....thanks for the reminder. O'Farrell at Leavenworth is right on the cusp of utter decay too. I love hanging out in the 'loin. When we are feeling fancy and celebratory we eat at Millenium at Geary and Jones...pricey and really goddamned delicious. Better every time we go.

@4, 6, yes, I think you're confused. It has been Loving Hut for a while, such as when David wrote the linked article. Now new new management, apparently.

@1: "Special of the Day "German Sprout Soup"."

They're not Rajneeshees :p

Why only attention to vegetarians & vegans? God forbid an omnivore skips the beef for a meal. (Insert "where's the beef?" joke here.)

There's a bunch of Supreme Master restaurants down here in L.A. The Loving Hut branch is aight, but the One World place is amaaazing. Also, the Loving Hut plays Supreme Master TV, and One World only gives you literature with your bill.

God, I miss Vegan Garden. And I'm not even vegan anymore!
15
It's owned and operated by these guys:

Please wait...
