Cool video.

But your point, such as it may be, is rather undercut by the video of Illinois-born Emily Bear appearing right below this post.
2
Besides the uniformity of movement and dress, the strangeness of the children playing full-size instruments is also striking. It must be unbelievably painful to practice on those huge guitars for hours on end each day.

Apparently socialism = hell on earth.
4
@3 - I hope you aren't trying to make a case for the North Korean way of life. Remember these children are brainwashed and forced to do this.
5
They are not children, Charles. Actually, they are all about twenty-something. The result of induced malnutrition.
6
I see your tiny Koreans on big guitars, and I raise you big Brits on tiny guitars.

awww, just look at their tortured little grins.

The beatings will continue until you perfect that arpeggio.

But mommy, my fingers are bleeding.
Shut up or the great leader will eat you.

The head-nodding is totally creepy.

I shudder to think of the beatings that it took to get this accomplished, forced smiles and all. They are extremely young, I can only imagine what hours of practice on adult-sized guitars do to their little fingers.

Besides, is it just me or is one of the little girls balding?
15
There does seem to be something off about their appearance - their heads look oversized. Is it possible that they're older than their size suggests, and look small and wizened because of malnutrition?
16
This is terrifying.

The really appalling thing about this is when the furiously strum the guitars. Their little hands don't seem equipped to bash through six metal strings. How calloused they must be, and at such a young age.
19
*They, that is.
