MMMM, ribs. Did you know that these ribs could not have been smoked in that smoker back there? See that puff of smoke? That means it was an inside job.
2
If the bildeburgs hadn't blown out the ribs of building 7 the there would be no sweet potato fries. Think about it. Did you ever have sweet potato fries before 9-11? DID YOU?
3
I was serving sweet potato fries to sorority girls at the Courier Cafe in Urbana, IL, in the 1980s, Wisepunk. Better luck next time.
4
Missouri has some damn fine ribs. Not a fan of sweet potato fries however.
5
onion rings.

mmmmmmm
6
Wow, way back in the eighties? You're old. ;-)
7
So you admit you were part of the conspiracy since the beginning. I knew it. NWO and the gay mafia, working together since the new wave era. I rest my case.
8
I had ribs today too but instead of sweet potato fries the girlfriend wanted onion straws.

Onion rings sound really good, tupa, although good ones are hard to find. I haven't had any in ages.
9
I worked at the Courier when I was four.
10
You need a nice bourbon to finish the evening, Dan.
11
Or a Schlitz.
12
Wait... are you implying that somebody who worked at the Courier managed to break free and now works someplace else? Mark my words, one day there will be a snapping sound and you'll wake up back there with a case of umbilical whiplash.

13
Fucking white people.
14
Yeah, I've given up fucking white people.
Unless the Great Love Of My Life goes first, then it's anybody's guess.

This thread could use a hijack:

My uncle's funeral will be held at Child Rape Inc., in a little over a week.
I have no idea why this is, it's probably a knee-jerk reflex on my aunt's part, she was raised Catholic.
Anybody know what to expect? I will not be shaking the hand of a priest in this life time, or kneeling in a church, but how rude will I have to be to survive with integrity?

My older brother in Dallas is a troofer. While I do not subscribe to their wacked theories about microthermite and controlled demolition, the Cheney/Bush/Rice/Rumsfeld crowd was WAY too prepared for this event, as if it had arrived on queue. It's just "cherchez l'argent"... follow the money. Who benefitted from this horror?
16
@15, I've never thought the troofers were right but I would agree that the administration knew "something" was going to go down during the month of September, though they were not sure what, and the administration made a decision to "let what may happen, happen" and then reap the "rewards".

That's about as far as I'm willing to go with any conspiracy on September 11.
17
@15: My memory is terrible but I don't remember any particular response that indicated "prepared" from the government. Honest question: what part of our reaction indicated any level of preparedness? I can't think of a thing.
18
@17,

They certainly seemed prepared to get the Bin Laden family out of the country in a hurry...
19
@18, yeah the Bin Laden's were the only people flying right after the attacks happened. But we're not supposed to remember that little detail...

Was just in Harrison, AR last night for a 9/11 Concert, would have driven north if I had known I could catch a show! Are you doing a Univ. Sex Talk?

If you have time check out Branson (45 mins south). It's like Vegas+Nash+Rural=?!?!??!! IDK!!??

Also an hour away is the Precious Moments Chapel. http://www.preciousmoments.com/
Another example of fine MO pitch!

Enjoy my home state!

Best,

Drew

Thrilled to have you, Dan!

@14, my recommend is that if you have any love/respect for your aunt and/or cousins should you have any, you grit your teeth and bear it. If you haven't been asked to speak you probably won't by now. If asked politely demure, if they insist be more firm that your "personal beliefs" would make a personal participation disrespectful on your behalf.

Your personal hatred of the institution nonwithstanding, this is an event for the family of the dead. Your uncle is very literally beyond caring. Put on a poker face, look slightly downward or off into space during explictly religious moments, and nod noncommittally at religious statements directed your way. Since you aren't a surviving child, the chances you are made to participate as more than a spectator are very slim. Still, if its a great concern for you contact a cousin to and very gently ask what the ceremony will consist in and give a heads up that you'd please like to only see, not act.

It's an hour or two of your day to give living relatives some comfort. It's about them, not you, and not about the church. Keep it that way. Good luck!

@22 Thanks Lynx.
I did get through a wedding recently where about one third of the audience wouldn't bow their head for the lord's prayer (it went just fine), and though that one wasn't at CRI you're right, I'm there to fill a shirt/seat, this won't be too much worse.
I think that some time last night my grief and my hatred for what is and should never be (CRI) started climbing each other and between the two got tall enough that they looked bigger than me.

Thanks again for the kind words.

It's always strange to hear people say they don't believe in the controlled demolitions of the three buildings. A little scary, actually.

Please wait...
