Not a lawyer but it is my understanding from reading a history of MAD Magazine: Parody can be copyrighted and doesn't itself require permission. But you could Parody the parody if you had the talent:

All the Strangers in Strangeville liked santorum so much
But Goldy.......

Obviously I have no talent.

simply brilliant! A lot of people try to parody the good dr. but I do not think I have ever read one half as well done as this.
