@1 as if the candidates were actually Christians. They pull out religion to use as a spear to prod fear into the brainless ones, then use it as a shield to hide their asses when it's convenient for them. Santorum - wifey has an abortion, but it's not OK for anyone else? Gingrich - sanctity of marriage? Not sure which marriage he's referring to....
They've all broken the majority of the 10 commandments, and the way they refer to anyone not at their income level is only additional proof that they are not true Christians. The only interesting thing about tonight's debate was the notable absence of one Republican candidate: Buddy Roemer. A former moderate governor of Louisiana, Roemer is focusing his 2012 Presidential bid on the problems of money in politics.

Similarly, Rocky Anderson--former Democratic mayor of Salt Lake City--has launched his own Presidential campaign for the newly founded Justice Party centered around defeating the corrupting influence of corporate finance on our democracy. AND he wants to end the ELECTORAL COLLEGE!!

Both men are running campaigns funded by maximum contributions of $100 per person!

But they have little chance of getting their message into traditional debates that are controlled by an alliance between the Democrat and Repulican parties, by way of the Commission on Presidential Debates.

What are we to do??

The answer: Push for an independent debate between these two candidates, under a "Get Money Out of Politics!" banner!

The publicity writes itself!

Any worries that an alternative candidate will have a "spoiler effect" on the D/R nominee should be allayed by the offsetting effect created by the presence of both a progressive AND conservative alternative.

@1 People who accuse the left of anti-Christian bigotry usually claim to be Christians but for some reason, just don't get it. We here in left-land love Christians. Christians are fine tolerant, inclusive, righteous people. What we do hate are the fakes. We hate the fakes who enable pedos and want to outlaw birth control. We hate the fakes who think Jesus was a rich man and won't patronize a merchant who doesn't put "Merry Christmas" all over his store.
