Excellent excellent news. Congratulations Eli. Well deserved prize for a very well written article. I remember reading it and having the hairs on my arms stand up.
Ah, the Pulitzer. The 'Academy Award' for writers. Nice going making rape and murder pay! We knew you could do it. (And we won't hear the end of it on the radio on Fri. , I'm sure.) Meh.
@213: "*the* point." I even edited it but it posted incorrectly anyway... hmmph.
Anyway, congrats again Eli. I just re-read your article and Jennifer's response and was again floored.
I hope the Stranger is paying you well enough that you are a financial position to make a donation to a victim or advocacy organization in Jennifer and Teresa's honor.
Holy Crap! Congratulations!!! Is this the first Pulitzer at The Stranger?
That work was amazing, and it took real courage to sit in that court-room, and I know this all too well, having worked as a paralegal felony cases for years: It is heart-breaking and gut-wrenching - it is filled with horrors. I once had to work on a case (that I will spare you from description) and had to interview the victims and go over tens of thousands of pages of discovery with about a quarter of those pages being very accurate descriptions of the crimes committed against humanity. These crimes all occurred near where I grew up, and I had spent time in those places and had vivid memories of the lay of the land - and I feel as though it permanently traumatized me. Eli, that took great courage to sit in that court, and I'm sorry that that is forever in your mind, I hope that you can distance yourself from that case better than I did on the aforementioned... It still haunts me 7 years later.
all people would want healthy body, gorgeous and fresh, then they need to properly care for its skin if their pores and skin is healthy, but as long as they are skin diseases they ought to immediately treat it so the skin healthy along with fresh again. if you all want healthy skin on a daily basis then treat it along with cellulitis treatments
!!!Congratulation Eli !!! That was a great article. I always enjoy reading your work and listening to you banter with Joni on KUOW.
(Fox News wins Pulitzer....in the "Fiction" category - Andy Borowitz)
Way to miss you point, you enormous fucking asshole.
