So she's not a liar, just incompetent! Just what we need in an elected official!

One of the images you have up there is the 36th District Dems sample ballot. I'm a Precinct Committee Officer for the 36th, and as such, I'll be canvassing my neighborhood and giving this sample ballot to people in my precinct. It really makes me mad that incorrect information is in the sample ballot and that other PCOs will be giving incorrect information to people in their precincts too. With such a close race, every detail counts - Gael should stop lying about her endorsements.

One more reason I'm voting for Noel Frame - she's the candidate in this race who has put in the work and fought hard for LGBT rights. She led on R-71 to protect civil unions and truly earned the sole endorsement of Equal Rights Washington.

Two ways Noel is not the typical politician:

1. Noel will give you a straight answer, and she's honest about when she needs to learn more about an issue. On the other hand, I can relate to many people who feel confused or betrayed by Gael Tarleton.

2. It's never about Noel. She's a fighter and a leader, but she puts the people and causes she cares about first.

Endorsements are nothing to screw around with. Organizations take these very seriously and go through great efforts to research and interview candidates prior to announcing any endorsement. I didn't support Gael before this due to her anti environment and labor voting record with the Port of Seattle. I didn't have any personal dislike of her, until now.

This is the note we sent to The Stranger along with SEAMEC's rating sheets from 2007 and 2011:

The 36th District ad is wrong. And we regret that error and take full responsibility for not catching that error. We congratulate Noel Frame on her SOLE endorsement by Equal Rights Washington and respect their decision to champion Noel. We will still celebrate Gael Tarleton's top ratings by SEAMEC in 2007, 2011 and 2012. Gael Tarleton was in fact endorsed by SEAMEC in 2011.

Gael was the first elected Port Commissioner to march in the Port's Pride Parade and has done so each year. She has advanced LGBT rights at the Port through anti-discrimination laws to ensure that all LGBT citizens have the full rights and benefits as their peers. Her senior campaign consultants were instrumental in the passage of R-71. And her political consultant Jason Bennett is an openly gay champion of LGBT rights and has been working with Gael since 2007.

We want Washington and all 36th District voters united behind approving marriage equality and R-74.

I find it odd that Commissioner Tarleton doesn't take any personal responsibility. Her first statement from Sue blames "the campaign staff", and Sue's comment above just says "we regret that error and take full responsibility for not catching that error." At no time does Commissioner Tarleton accept responsibility of the misrepresentations by her campaign.

@1 - she (or her campaign, I guess) could also just be lazy.

Everybody on the campaign, including Gael Tarleton, regrets the error and owns full responsibility for that error.

Honestly, the difference between highly rated, qualified, recommended, endorsed, blessed.. hard to keep track of. The reality is that most organizations endorse, so that's the go to term. 5 A's is nothing to sneeze about, for either candidate. The rest is a molehill being made into a political mountain.
10
Why can't Port Commissioner Tarleton speak for herself? What kind of legislative candidate needs to hire a spokesperson? Seriously??!?

It's obvious to anyone who's paying the slightest bit of attention that Noel Frame is owned lock, stock, and barrel by the teachers union.

Please wait...
