Warren-Grayson in 2016!

I'm glad for this win. I gave to his campaign in 2008, and hopefully he learned something from his loss in 2010 which was entirely his own fault.

In case you forgot, he ran a really misleading ad in 2010 which quoted his opponent totally out of context which was widely rebuked even on the left. (Including being called out on the Daily Show and Colbert Report.)

Thanks for noting this, Charles. And Mr. President, please use your own considerable rhetorical gifts to be there every goddamn time in the many battles ahead, instead of being weirdly absent or passive at some of the most important turning points. You now have nothing to lose but our good opinion.

I love Grayson! He has the backbone that is missing in liberal leaders.
5
Technically, I think Grayson won a different house seat. I don't think he won his old seat back (8th dist), I think he won a new one (9th dist). I think those districts in FL were redrawn after he lost. That helped him a little.

Nevertheless, I'm glad he's back!

I didn't even realize he was running. AWESOME. So happy about this. It slays me that after the shit right-wingers pull, they try to be all "But Grayson is mee-e-ee-ean!"

Frankly, all of those well-meaning people who talk about bipartisanship and the two sides learning to work together can go suck a dick, too. Obviously that DOES need to happen in reality, but we need people like Grayson who are as willing to be loud and proud about their liberal beliefs as 95% of the right is about their conservative beliefs.

I didn't know that he was even running again. I'm glad to see someone with some common sense and the balls to actually voice that sense is back in the House.

@5, you're right - it's not Grayson's seat he got booted from, he chose a weak-Republican seat this time. Now hang onto the seat, you quote-farmer Grayson! Become a leader in Congress, not just an MSNBC soundbite factory!

@6 HIGH FUCKING FIVE!!! Dems in both Washingtons need to stop being so fucking cowardly and use their bully pulpit to speak truth to mouthbreathers.

They could start with "We are not 'Taxed Enough Already,' we're the least-taxed country in the First World. So, we can slash the military and slash Medicare, or we can raise all ya'all's taxes a bit. Pick A or B, 'cause there IS NO FUCKING C!"

This kicks so much ass. Good job, Florida-9.

A Classic.

@8: Alright asshole, I normally do not bother with you because you are a tinfoil wearing psycho, but HOW DARE YOU attack the intergrity of Batman and Bruce Wayne.

Bruce Wayne is not a "bankster." Wayne Industries is not a financial institution. Bruce Wayne has on many occasions blocked immoral business deals and forced the company to make moral choices.

How dare you. Leave Batman out of this. And do not think your insinuation that he is buggering Robin went unnoticed. You have much to learn, child.

Glad Alan Grayson is back. He's the type of guy or gal we need to find to replace McDermott
15
@13 - that was awesome.

I dunno, @13 & 15, daydreams of threesomes with Batman & Robin pretty much got me through junior high, and Dr. Manhattan's/Greg Plitt's/Billy Crudup's blue wiener (CGI or otherwise) is the only thing that lured me to see Watchmen.

Please wait...
