Brocklind's Formal Wear, the beloved tuxedo/wedding gown/costume rental establishment at Pike and Summit, is retiring from the business, and starting tomorrow, they're no longer renting anything and selling everything. The official statement:

Brocklind's is proud to announce that we are retiring after 106 years of dressing Seattle in style!

In celebration, we are giving all of you, our loyal customers, the opportunity to take a piece of Brocklind's home with you for good! That's right, no more rentals. You can BUY that coveted costume, the stylish tuxedo, or the wacky wig that you've had your eye on over the years! We are selling EVERYTHING; men's formal wear, vintage clothing, costumes, antiques, all our fixtures. Plus, we've marked our entire bridal department down 50%!

The sale starts on January 10th and goes through the end of February, so come quick before it's all gone!

As of Thursday, January 10th, we will be resuming our regular hours:
Monday - Saturday: 9am-6pm
Closed on Sundays

Those who love deeply discounted pastel tuxedos and wedding gowns and beauty and pathos should not miss it. (All photos by Jake Nelson, who got that amazing 40s-era celastic gorilla head for $60!)
