"My Beautiful Laundrette" is a terrific film by Stephen Frears (1986?). I really liked it. Day-Lewis was excellent. Did you ever see "Sammie & Rosie Get Laid"? I believe both films were written by one of my favorite writers, Hanif Kurieshi. I recommend "Love in a Blue Time" which features the short story rendered to film "My Son the Fanatic".

Perhaps they should carry a mirror in their pocket so they can practice looking hard?
