I live on Capitol Hill. I have for 3 years. I love protestors. I wish the police didn't hurt them so much for speaking their minds, like more people should be encouraged to do in this country. Fuck windows. They aren't human lives. They're just glass.

I regret wasting my time in 2008 when I volunteered the most hours for Obama's campaign at the local democratic headquarters in my county. I was a fool (what can I say, I was 18, excited and so hopeful). The police 'industry' and our government have entirely lost sight of humanity's future and its the duty of every human to set it right.

Cross-reference everything with people that don't have profit on their mind, listen to the authentic people out there right now that are not caught up in the dramas of distractions, but focusing on the real issues of our times. Focusing on the solutions, the manifestations, and yes, the expressions. In order to allow consciousness to expand, we must allow for unconditional love for each other. Stop petty bickering and we must get to the real work that we should be focusing on, like free energies, figuring out the climate or being honest about what is really going on according to data, raising our intellect as a race with pride for our species. Giving every child a chance to build their dream. Figuring out the actual disagreements we have, not in an argumentative childish way, but in a conscious, collaborative sense. If we truly want peace, if this is what we choose to have... then we must actually do the work to get it. We can not allow ourselves to be mere puppets in a play.
Think.
Question.
Think.
Be aware of the Ego which can get in the way of so many things. We have so much power and potential, but only if it is allowed to flourish.

At least, this is what I think, and I am not the only one.

All these other comments are good too. :)

so can we all agree that cops are awesome, now that barnett got a face full of tear gas?

LOL @ #104...
Man, she's full of shit. Go read her Twitter feed. Apparently, the cops are so stupid that they were beating the shit out of some girl right in front of a couple thousand iPhones and a couple dozen real reporters.
More, she claims that some cop took the time and made the effort to completely disregard all the Black Block people to single her out and continuously shove her for three whole blocks.
I'm picturing her being shoved to the ground, get up, shoved to the ground, get up, shoved to the ground, over and over, for three blocks, like some demented Laurel & Hardy skit.

@ 64, see @ 55 and 104. There have been many Stranger writers who rubbed the readership the wrong way over the years, but the female ones always get much worse treatment, and it doesn't end even years after their departure.

Simply put, you all suck.

aaaaaaaaannnddd cue the sexism card. well played matt, well played.

you should steal a nice bottle of wine for your girlfriend erica.
108
@107- but it is ye who be the sexist ass, as everyone here can see.
109
@ 107, you should get introspective and figure out why you hate her so much. It is painfully obvious to me that it has nothing to do with her opinions, her style, or her shoplifting, but apparently that's eluding you.

Bummed that Sun Liquor a locally owned business got their front smashed up. What does this have to do with immigration reform? Gotta feel for all those immigrant families w/ children who took time from work/school to march only to have the real meaning of why they were doing so ripped away from them. What @96 said...

@106 Dominic is a female?

113

I understand that Erica Barnett has "issues" with the truth. Be skeptical of anything that hosebag says.
