Her daddy's war profits should be able to fund a capable campaign. I'm sure the citizens of Wyoming will greet her as a liberator.

What a turd.
3
Fucking spare us. Go run along to your next boutique think tank job and leave Wyoming alone, Cheney Jr.
4
Is there a box somewhere that republicans have to check now where they promise never to learn the difference between weather and climate?
5
Meanwhile, their state is suffering from record climate events.

This Cheney is strong with the Clueless Side of the Denial.

I won't pretend to have my finger on the pulse of Wyoming voters, but if she's based in Wilson (basically Jackson—the Mercer Island of WY, if that even makes sense) it makes her even more of an outsider, and not in the good way that gets votes.

She might score with her Congressional district, maybe, but if I were her and I wanted a Senate seat in Wyoming, I'd concentrate on distancing myself from my father (not exactly a hero in that Libertarian-leaning land whose most famous former-elected is actually steadfastly pro-choice), and devote the rest of my time to barrel racing.

7
Wait a minute! I thought Liz was the gay one...
8
She's like a republican platitude generator.
9
Ugh....climate is not weather......
10
Her head needs a diaper change.
11
@6: Wyoming is its own Congressional district.
12
Wrong, Liz: Big Bird won't be a republican when he grows up if he becomes unemployed first.
13
@11- Doh! I probably should'a guessed that based on population, right you are. I thought they might at least have a couple.

And on second thought, barrel racing isn't gonna cut it. She's gonna have to ride a bull.
14
@4 Epistemic closure. It's not a *literal* box, but...you check your mind in, and it doesn't check out.

(Does this roach motel reference make me look old?)

wyoming, where your senate vote has 66x the power that a californian's does.

liz cheney, the rand paul of the mountain west!
16
FUUUUUUUUUUU
17
UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
18
UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!
19
So the incumbent is getting tea bagged?
20
@6,

Wishful thinking. If she makes it through the primary, she won't be losing the general. And with daddy's money and connections, there's no reason to think she won't win the primary.
21
@20, she's going to have to beat Mike Enzi, three-term incumbent. It's hard to see how; he's already one of the most right-wing nutjobs in that pathetic legislative body. Maybe she'll shoot him.
22
I don't see how anyone can claim that Obama is bad at killing terrorists.
23
@21: IN THE FACE. and then make him apologize for getting in the way of her shot.
24
The apple didn't fall far from the tree. She's as nasty and annoying as her shoot-them-in-the-face dad. I'm sure Repugs love her.
25
I have a little bit of sympathy for her.

Life ain't easy when your dad's a Dick.
26
To think, all the left and moderates have to do is show up to a fucking midterm once in awhile and we'd be mostly rid of these morons.
27
As a WY resident I'm no great fan of Enzi, but good lord, not another Cheney, please.
28
@26 *sigh* yeah that is a problem.
29
You know, I've always been confused by all the "War on Coal" rhetoric.

If global warming/climate change isn't real, if this is all a giant conspiracy, then what, precisely is the motive behind attacking coal? What's the point? That people are going after coal mining for no reason at all?

It makes no sense.
30
@25 - I admit it, i lol'd.
31
The queen of Stockholm Syndrome is running... this should be fun.
32
Having just watched Gasland, the last thing we need in the govt is another fucking Cheney. That one prick alone has managed to destroy so many people's lives through war and allowing Halliburton/the oil and gas industry to ignore the Clean Water Act and the Clean Air Act.
33
She'll be the Senator from Coal, at least that's what she's angling for.
34
People who dismiss Liz Cheney's power grab as "whatever, it's Wyoming" need to look down the road 4-8 years when she is running for president. Her stay in Wyoming is just a bit of nasty business she has to endure so she can put make her father president--again.
35
Just as charming and honest as dear old dad. He must be so proud.

Please wait...
