Now this is rape, no debate. Congrats Cienna, finally found a clear cut victim, not a sobering up college coed convinced by a womyn's studies prof that her regret means she was raped.

Now, why no post on that poor 80 yr old Chinese lady raped by a homeless, indeterminate-race, pyscho in the ID this week? Doesn't fit the profile of an angry womyn's studies class on white patriarchy?

Fun fact from the article: Fed charges for the drugs and weapons, state charges for the rape and kidnapping. What do you want to bet the 1000 plants gets them much more time than the rape and kidnapping charges?
3
God dammit, Cienna. You couldn't save this for Monday, or better yet, Tuesday, or even better, never tell me about this thing?
4
you know who shouldn't be in charge of growing our weed? rapists.
6
@2, I'd take that bet. How much?

When I was going to school in Northern California, I used to drive through Lake County frequently on my way to other parts of the state.

It is a place with a very unpleasant ambiance. I never spent much time in it, but I really didn't like it. It just seemed like the kind of place that these things happen.

I'm anti-death penalty, so I won't post my first reaction to this story.

But I do think life in prison with no possibility for parole is the place to start

Cali is evil... no question, Cali is evil....

@7, the clairvoyant!

@9, I have no such qualms. I'll grant that the death penalty has been very problematic in practice, but so is our whole damn legal system.

So when do we bring back the death penalty for rape, already? It bugs me that they could threaten Ariel Castro with it only because he induced a miscarriage. The rape that led to it it is reason enough to end his worthless life.

Castro pled down. The prosecution allowing him to do so is reason for the death penalty for them.

Please wait...
