Atheists and other people already ARE taxed, silly, as are Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, Zoroastrians, Jews, Hindus, et al. It's CHURCHES that get tax-exempt status, but they're supposed to stay out of the political arena in exchange for that status. So, if they want to get into politics (and it's no secret that many of them already DO engage in the sort of political activity proscribed under federal tax law), then why SHOULDN'T they have to pay into the system, just like every other incorporated group does already?

The best thing you can do to hurt this fool is to live on in peaceful, purposeful lives that create a better, saner progress for everyone. Gay families: turn out productive, well adjusted children that may even come out as straight...
In short, keep going. Progress that disproves these fools, and their world views, marginalizes (trivializes?) them and drives them further off the stage. Oh, and while you're at it, help set up multilingual voting drives to get the state legislatures out of the crazies' hands.

You're absolutely right. Never heard of Solomon before and don't care about his rant. Just another crazy rightwinger. Progressives need to focus on getting people out to vote their interests and create a better United States -- one where Solomon and his ilk are disempowered.
