"some of whom are truly great journalists and some of whom are Joni Balter, Bruce Ramsey, and Lynn Thompson"

Bravo, Dom.
2
A better editor of Slog might have made the headline "Dog-lover Blethen names Kathy Best as New Editor". I for one read it as "Dog-lover Blethen names Kathy as Best New Editor".

ACK!

Dude! Pot ads!
5
Too much booze will give you that perspective Frank.

@2: don't complain, but rather savor the ambiguity. I've not met Kathy, but it's good to know she won the Best New Editor award. A year or so there was a Stranger article, can't reminder exactly how it went, "Local Art Gallery Promotes Kitsch" or the like, and, sure, it was a guy named Kitsch getting a new job. Made my day.

Ryan Blethen will become assistant managing editor/digital, working with Mark Higgins, Bob Payne …

WaaaaWaaaaaWaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
8
It's difficult to always keep in mind that "digital" means something besides than what it used to mean, especially with R. Blethen.
9
Frank Blethen could use an editor. His writing is shit.

I miss The Rocket.

They still need a top notch columnist - bring back Rick Anderson or Terry McDermott, or steal Joel C.

Leon Espinoza will become the assistant managing editor for standards and interactivity. He will safeguard the credibility of The Seattle Times on all platforms and make sure we are listening to our readers, not just talking at them.

Really? A quasi-public editor/ombudsman?

Goldy, you have been replaced.

Please wait...
