Just checked on the Hawaii situation. Apparently, opponents have been trying to deny the vote by extending the hearings, sending out recruitment messages for more speakers via social media.
@14, it did have to go back to the senate, and they have already concurred. It is done. All that is left is for Quinn's signature, which he has promised. Starting June 1st, Dan and Terry will still be married when they visit Dan's hometown. Yay and congrats to Illinois.
Now if we can get the public comments to close in Hawaii, they can finish business there.
That's two more states in two month's time: New Jersey and Illinois. Equality opponents in Hawaii must know that they're going to lose, which is why they are trying tactic after tactic to delay the vote.
