Another Festivus miracle!

Good Morning Charles,
Yeah, saw a cool photo of the weather phenomenon in this morning's Seattle Times. Evidently, pretty rare. I think it's the first time in 50 years that it's snowed in Jerusalem.

They also had flooding in Saudi Arabia a few weeks ago, and got double the monthly rainfall in a single day.

Snow: because traffic in Jerusalem can't get any worse!
5
Yep. It snowed in Cairo also.
6
Who knew? Maybe Goldy could tell us if the bible book talks of snow.
7
@6: I did a quick search. Most of the references to snow are symbolic of its whiteness. This was in a time before modern air pollution.
8
I like to imagine this is how it looks in nuclear winter.

Do you have any idea how offensive it is to call Jerusalem "Jesus Town?" Unless you're totally ignorant you'd know that Jerusalem is home to a large number of Jews and Muslims.
10
@Lark: It snows in Jerusalem every other years. Not so unusual.
11
Beautiful, but most houses aren't set up for snowy cold.

@9, you must not have read Charles's other threads about Israel. This one was quite inoffensive.

Please wait...
