GO FUCK YOURSELF, YOU INCONSIDERATE HIJRA-KINKSHAMING, ABLE-BODY-OVERPRIVILEGED NECKBEARD

Ooops, wrong comment thread!

Dan, thank you ever so for sharing that. The phrase penile dejection is going to stay with me a long time. It conjures up an image of a walking penis, bent over, head down, like Charlie Brown, with a gray cloud permanently floating directly overhead as the sad trombone plays.

2
"To be a rape victim isn’t a competitive elite oppressed status reserved to a special few women, which loses in specialness as the number of rape victims increases."

Well, respectfully, they are right about that.
3
So now I've read the whole thing (though not the comments). What a sad, sad letter.
What a sad, sad, angry person.

Now I'm depressed. If I was a man, I would be suffering from penile dejection.
4
Fundamentalists are nuts. No matter which end of the spectrum they represent.
5
Stuff like this really upsets me because it is so incredibly damaging to the cause of feminism as a whole. Now otherwise allies will be scared away by Mount CrazyPants over here, and sexists can use this as ammo to dismiss feminism because "all feminists are crazy."

Ugh. Crazy people please stop talking and just go live in a hole somewhere.
6
The next time I get it on with Terry... I'm going to ask him to shake me like he would stuff a corpse.
7
And now I'm having junior year Sociology of Marriage and Family PTSD flashbacks.
8
It's like that Aziz Ansari bit about pretending you oppose gay marriage on moral grounds, which he compares to opposing marriage for guys in tighter shirts who order bottle service at bars. Seems like someone masking their hate of something by pretending there is some larger principle behind it. There has to better things to worry about than consensual sex between two adults - unless the point is to illustrate how stupid it looks to oppose other people's consensual acts.
10
Sure, your murderous palettes have been tricked into believing that is some awfully tasty crazy, but it is no where near as delicious and simply not as good for you as vegan crazy.
11
I'm sure, as an exercise, we could write that enveloping the penis with an all-consuming shroud, encasing it, burying it in a metaphorical grave, is oppression. Look at where oppress comes from: "Anglo-Norman and Middle French, French oppresser to press or urge... to crush, press, smother, to keep in subjection"!

The vagina oppresses the penis -- and the woman the man -- in the most abusive way. Anyone who can't see that is suffering from Stockholm Syndrome.

And don't even get me started on how they do it in Stockholm. Animals.
12
My mama taught me that it's not nice to make fun of crazy people. This person's subjective reality is plainly a pretty scary and unpleasant one already; let's just leave them be and not make it worse with taunting.
13
@6, pictures or it will never happen.
14
thrust a large member of himself...

Why, thank you...
15
1977 called, they want their arguments back.

(Also, what @12 said: This woman has no influence on, basically, anything anywhere, and is clearly seriously damaged. Leave her alone: she might get better. Taunting her on the internet will definitely not help her get better.)
16
Not gonna read it, but this sounds hauntingly close to the kind of stuff Andrea Dworkin was saying in the 1990s.
17
"Our bodies weren't made for that" (in the comments). Um, wrong. The crazy is strong in these women.
18
I thought Andrea Dworkin died. And you shouldn't plagiarize the dead.
19
comments are closed on the articles but something came to my half asleep brain as I read this and I wondered If PIV occurs when the woman is on top and the man is handcuffed, shackled, ball gagged, and has a dildo up his ass is it still rape
20
@ 16 just beat me to it. I don't think that "PIV is always rape" was the point of Intercourse, but the idea seemed to be the magnetic north by which Dworken set her intellectual compass.
21
"all the secondary physical mutiliation and financial costs that go with our duty to make ourselves look decorative for male sexual consumption – such as hair removal, make-up, starvation or forced feeding, torturous limb deforming or cutting up, etc."

Limb deforming or cutting up?
22
@5 Agreed. I ran up against folks like this in college and it was off putting, to say the least. The fact that some feminists believe womyn are better than men--and biology will one day allow womyn to reproduce with other womyn, thus making men unnecessary--is chilling if you take it to its logical conclusion. I remember objecting and being told I couldn't understand because of the penis thing. But such a small percentage of feminists are like this, which is important to remember. Of course Slog posts photos of teabaggers with misspelled signs and the racist and sexist comments of extreme right-wingers all the time, holding them up as indicative of conservatives in general. Same thing. You go far enough right or left and you meet around the other side.
23
The weirdest part about this is that they never arrive at a cogent prescriptive action to take in regards to this:

If all PIV sex is rape by definition (I'm humoring them), and all hetero men who engage in it are rapists (because how could they not be, they are raping women), then what are we as a society supposed to do about it? Round up the men and send them away forever?

Wouldnt it be easier to just disengage from society and move to Vermont where no penis shall pass?

Also, this still means they're cool giving blowjobs right?
24
My favorite was the comment on the "costs of PIV maintenance"

Can those cost be amortized?
25
@6: What was that expression supposed to mean? I'm a sex-having funeral home employee and I couldn't follow it.
26
I was able to accelerate the depreciation of my boners by being too lazy to fuck.
28
I couldn't read the whole thing, but what does she propose for, you know, the continuation of the species? Or perhaps, any human who dares to procreate is raping the earth and we should really stop that whole thing immediately?
29
"If you tasted something and it tasted disgusting, why on earth would you force yourself to eat or drink it again and again until your taste buds are so numbed you no longer feel the disgust, and come to believe you enjoy it? This is pure torture. So is PIV."

So I take it she never moved on from drinking Boonz Farm
30
First off, as a heterosexual male and feminist ally, I was horrified by that blog post. It was like a train wreck (couldn't look away) where all the passengers were stumbling out of the wreck screaming and on fire, all while two other trains (coming from opposite directions, of course) converged on the scene of the wreck for ultimate can't-look-away destructo-horribleness.

And I've spent plenty of time on 4chan.

*shiver*

@4

I think you mean extremists. "Fundamentalist" can have vastly different connotations depending on the context.

@9

Did you read the comments? If they're Poe-ing it, they're damn committed.

@11

Thanks for that. Damn Swedes.
31
@23 The action to for science to allow sexual reproduction between women, making men unnecessary. You can see hints of this is some other postings at the site (I poked around in there) but I also remember it from a women's study class in college. Actually it would be incredibly awesome if this technology came into being because then two women could both be genetic parents of their children. Phase 2 in the plan (society without men) is where the crazy comes in.
32
"My ex, who is a sociopath, told me years ago that if women understood what men are REALLY doing to women when they put their penises into us, all women would be virgins and never let a man do it. He said that men assume we must be stupid for falling for this trick, and that the sexual revolution was the mockery of the century, because now women were giving to men for free what they used to have to marry us for."

My ex who is a sociopath, whose word I take at face value and who apparently I was dumb enough to get into a relationship with...
33
@ 21, didn't you know that ears are limbs?

Getting back to what she actually says (the first part Dan quotes), she must think her yanni is some kind of delicate flower, when it's actually a much, much tougher, stronger organ than a penis. As long as there's enough lube (and in terms of hurting either partner, in my experience it's as important for the man if not more so), the vagina can take it. (I'm assuming she has nothing medically wrong with hers, but I'm not going to skim her blog looking to see if she talks about that or not.)

The rest of that, where she talks about "penile dejection" (wrong word - I think that's what happens to a dick after ejaculation) and whether this is "civilized" or "respectful" indicate both psychological damage from overzealous religious upbringing and a Victorian sense of morals taken to absurd extremes.
34
@21 That made me pause too.
The problem is that this kind of crazy kind of seeps through to other places. I once saw a whole livejournal community overtaken by something like that.
35
"often forcing her to be entirely naked"

I think we've found ourselves a real-life Never Nude.

Jeezy-Creezy on "To be a rape victim isn’t a competitive elite oppressed status reserved to a special few women, which loses in specialness as the number of rape victims increases."

Uh, I don't think they're trying to feel "special".

Thank goodness I stick mostly to Tumblr for the porn (though Tumblrdoms and their added commentaries are terrible) and avoid the niche communities that stumbled drunkly over from LJ. Yeah, there's occasional great politics, gender, and trans-discussions that go on, but I don't want to get immersively involved in them and mostly just observe from well outside.
36
Wow, so that's not a joke then...I don't know what it must be like to live in those women's heads. How do you even exist in a world where every man is *literally* the enemy?
37
@23 "Also, this still means they're cool giving blowjobs right?"

No.

In fact, I get the impression that male masturbation and gay (male) sex is also a rape of women, if only symbolically.

"Sex for men is the unilateral penetration of their penis into a woman (or anything else replacing and symbolising the female orifice) whether she thinks she wants it or not – which is the definition of rape"
38
@36 You probably don't. These people probably are socially isolated and their radfem blog comprises a large part of their social interaction.
39
Beyond that, I have four thoughts they may be valuable, even though they come from a fag with no vagina (whom I am sure would be called the ultimate patriarch by the blogger)...

1. She argues that PIV=rape is not a logic stretch and is "unnatural" because it's not necessary for conception. But PIV=violence precisely because it has the know effect of pregnancy! I don't get it. If inflicting the chance of a dangerous pregnancy on a woman through PIV is violence, they anything else you do to a women that could lead to conception is not morally better. The only way to be this anti-PIV is to be completely against pregnancy.

2. Sorry, not trying to come for any of you ladies, but this is an example of radical feminism's innate heteronormativity. Beside her railing against "unnatural" PIV becuase of the tears, warts, and illnesses that can come with it (hello, Family Research Council), her absolute rejection of the aggressive receptive partner is the reason bottoms are crucified in our masculinist (thankful only literally in a few isolated places). As someone having "unnatural" sex for years, I've been personally harmed by this discourse.

3. There is no arguing. If you have ever made the mistake of arguing with a conspiracy theorist you already know that there is no line of reasoning that is going to be persuasive. Any rational argue is going to be "what they want you to think" or taken as proof of how thoroughly you have been brainwashed. Dissent that by it's existence is invalided is not a condition under which safe discourse can happen.

4. It's a violent argument. While we are pointing out instances of unconventional violence. This blogger has no respect for others' opinions, and certainly doesn't validate them as legit experiences. There is no legit dissent because by disagreeing you're demonstrating how unfit you are to take part in the conversation. Your views and life experiences have to be ignored for your own good. It's an extreme act of domination disguised as education, which is a popular way for domination to operate.
40
The RadFem wacko who wrote that is also what they call a TERF: for Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminist. They are transphobic and view male-to-female conversion/surgery as an insult against womanhood. They are a bunch of disgusting hateful fucks. They actually harass and shame trans folks on Tumblr, outing them to their employers, etc.
41
@37.

Well then. Its hard to buy into an idea when the perspective is so alien and alienating - surely they'll win the day on the campaign of "You're a rapist and I think any sexual contact between a man and anything is rape of women."
42
@36 I wonder what's their consensus on gay men? The post seemed to imply that all men everywhere want to fuck women. Also what about anal and head? Is that somehow better than PiV?
43
@21: "Limb deforming or cutting up?"

It reads like those fake origin stories from street preachers who talk about life as a sinner where they literally did "the Drugs" and snorted cocaine from the literal devil's penis and gave a statue of him a rimjob during a "black mass" where a baby was sacrificed before they saw the light of Jesus. That, or they literally cut themselves to fit in with whom they consider "normal", "well adjusted" individuals.
45
I always feel like trolling these people by parading around as a woman and confiding in them that I murdered my infant son because I knew he would be a rapist at some point, and I live guilt free every day.

I want to see how many internet high fives I get.
46
I am unfamiliar with the practice of corpse stuffing. I know ancient Egyptians REMOVED organs as part of the mummification process. Maybe she means the process of filling a corpse with formaldehyde? But that works through the veins, not the vagina or uterus. And if female corpses are regularly stuffed the way she suggests, what do morticians do to male corpses?
47
Ummmmm,

Maybe some other time...

Peace
48
like Hitler, Dworkin's craziness lives on beyond her death. let's everyone treat her like the skinheads: delusionals trapped in adolescent rage.
49
Conjugal sex often reflects power relationships. Some conjugal sex is rape.
50
@31 The technology already exists and has been used in mice.
51
@21,

Maybe the old practice of foot binding???

Peace
52
@51 Old practice is old.
53
@50,

The technology exists and has alternate functionality in transporting liquid from the bottom of the pan back up onto the roasting turkey.

Peace
54
So is the writer saying that women and men should engage in anal and oral sex only?
55
@51:

Or wearing high heels.
56
@54, If you so much as put your index finger to your thumb, thats a rape.
57
Sounds like a paraphilia.
58
@54,

Either that or men should only be needed as sperm dejecters, until egg fusion technology becomes available.

Peace
59
Here's one example: http://healthland.time.com/2010/12/14/th…

It's easier to make a mouse with two biological moms.
60
@42: "I wonder what's their consensus on gay men? The post seemed to imply that all men everywhere want to fuck women."

I'm sure they have a low opinion of gay men as well, being a part of the patriarchy.

"Also what about anal and head? Is that somehow better than PiV?"

All is assault.

@40: Yup. They really fixate on and hate transwomen, well beyond any "male privilege" they see them as having had before any confirmation.
61
@55,

The only high heels I know of that involve cutting are the cruel shoes.

Peace
62
@46: "I am unfamiliar with the practice of corpse stuffing. "

What do you think they filled the interior with after removing organs? Embalming often involved stuffing the corpses of mummies with herbs, er, balms, and other preservatives and pleasant smelling substances. It's not like they utilized formaldehyde in ancient Egypt.
63
That excerpt reads like Raku describing the act of eating.
64
@60 In their defense again, a number of gay men are part of the patriarchy.
65
Why do I get the feeling that no guy would ever want to fuck any of these women in the first place?
66
@63 Now you've summoned them.
67
@64, but that statement doesnt actually have much informational value unless you succumb to essentializing people.
68
"The fact intercourse causes so many infections and tears and warts attests to the unnaturalness of intercourse, that it’s not meant to be. The vagina’s primary function isn’t to be penetrated by a penis but to eject a baby for birth."

Everyone knows that no vagina was ever torn in childbirth. No one dies from it either.
69
I had to suffer through the early 90's, when it seemed like every female friend took the same Dworkin-focused Intro to Women's Studies class. Always resulted in 3-4 moths of them being absolutely intolerable.

This is probably appropriate for someone who is 19. less so for adults.
70
@16, Dworkin was saying PIV=rape before the 90s. Her book "Intercourse" came out in 1987. I was working in a bookstore then, and had some of these same conversations then. Dworkin was a hell of a lot more subtle thinker than this loon. Still crazy though.
71
@63 I was going to say, it looks like someone found Raku's blog. But, there's no mention of white male privilege, so it's probably just an imitator.
73
You know, this may be the first Slog post where every single commenter is basically agreeing with each other.

The real crazies bring us all together.
74
M? Sausage noted my point as an addition to the post of Mr Luke:

[Sex for men is the unilateral penetration of their penis into a woman]

A while back, I irritated Ms Cute and other posters by suggesting that, in a matriarchy, male homosexuality would be eradicated. The author has given a strong example of the sort of mind set that would exemplify the ruling class and would in my view be a required set of mind for the matriarchy to be brought into existence in the first place. It is this author who would be high up in such a government, not Ms Cute or Ms Erica or Ms Driasis or Ms Crinoline or Ms Hopkins or Ms Cummins or Ms Sissou (just to pick those with whom I've had recent exchanges of views; I could go all the way back to Ms Canuck, but that might be tedious) or any of the other Mizzez among the assembled company (with one possible exception I shall decline to name who has had a few points similar to those of the author but with somewhat less focus or clarity). I was always vexed that I didn't have a concrete example of who would be running such a government to illustrate my point.

I'd better stop here before I convince myself to add Matriarchal May to my calendar. I shall even decline to make a referral to The Good Apprentice, at least at present.
75
@64: Absolutely. If you can suppress your initial assumptions, it's a useful thoughtgame to consider some of the radfem posits on privilege, even if the end result is still dismissing them.

@67: It's a useful abstraction. It's not the whole of who a person is, but it's definitely something that passively to actively shapes a person's life.

@65: Yes, that joke is totally new and totally original and totally not Limbaugh territory, someone's greater value doesn't lie in who will fuck them.
76
Andrea Dworkin is the Ayn Rand of feminism.
77
@73, that's a great point. We need more like this on Slog.

If anyone wants some more crazy, you gotta check out her first post in the blog. Lots of photos, including marxists and even Darth Vader. Great stuff.

http://witchwind.wordpress.com/2013/05/

"Truth: all men are the evil, alien, living-dead, zombie, robotic, automated, formatted invaders and colonisers who want to and do destroy all life on earth. The truth is that WE need to get ALL MEN out as soon as possible if we want to save the earth."
78
I am more shocked that so few women openly feel this way considering the proportion of meatheads circulating around.
79
I'm a little curious about how the suggested alt-sex works. Do non-penis objects just get a unacknowledged pass, or is it the lightest possible frottage, a Demolition Man-like machine that stimulates the nethers, or is it the rush to bed death as soon as humanly possible so as to eliminate the more complicated aspects of a single-minded philosophy?
80
@74: "A while back, I irritated Ms Cute and other posters by suggesting that, in a matriarchy, male homosexuality would be eradicated."

So under the patriarchy, lesbians don't exist? Disempowered, sure, but your thought experiment seems unexplainedly exaggerated and well past the point of mirroring for the purpose of analogy.
81
Why even comment on this?
82
"The term “fuck you” is not an insult for nothing, men know why – it’s the worst thing you can do to a human being."

Substitute "man" for "human being" and homophobia for misogyny, and there you have a far better explanation of the insult, methinks. But that would not make the writer a special flower, so, no.
83
"Radical Wind" the blog title says it all. It's wind, thoughtless, aimless and sometimes destructive wind. The writer puts the blow in bloviating.
84
@73 - I certainly disagree that it is fair to bash over the top feminists without discussing the level of sexual violence done to women. That some of them would throw the baby away with the bath water seems perfectly understandable as it could be called an act of self preservation.
85
@84, the level of sexual violence they want to talk about includes every sex act throughout human history.
86
@79, @80: lesbian sex is the only sex that's allowed, and the clitoris is the only thing that matters -- the clitoris in question being the tiny little tip of the thing that ignores the other 99 percent of it, extending up into the body in mysterious ways, some of which can be accessed through the -- no, don't say it! -- vagina. But it is clear from this person's writings that putting anything into the vagina at all is a big no-no, except a (girl) baby on its way out.

It's mysterious to me how childbirth is OK while PIV sex is not because of all the pain and damage it causes. Childbirth causes a hell of a lot more of both. But then I'm an oppressor, so what do I know.

Personally, I have made the decision to become a plant, so your disastrous animal entanglements are no longer of interest to me.
87
@86, so you aspire to Will in Seattle levels of brain activity?
88
70, D. did a lot of work before then. There was a lot of this going around in the early 80's. Her work is an important part of 2nd-wave feminism, and 3rd-wave feminism came out as a direct reaction against the extremism of D & her cohorts.
89
Co ja kurwa czytam?
90
65, before your post again, for your words and thoughts to be read and considered, you must first show us how fuckable you are. Full nudes as well as a dick pic must be included. If you have gross body hair or a belly, if your butt is flat or your skin not clean & flawless, then you're an idiot who can be ignored.
91
@87, all brain activity is rape, you animal.
92
Reading a little more of her writing, it's interesting to note how she used the word "colonized" to describe some women (women who like PIV it seems) like an infection actually colonizing your body (which is apparently 90% colonizing microbes to begin with)...anyway it seems like ideological purity and physical purity are closer in our reasoning than we may even realize. If you dismiss different thinking as the colonize threat and the diseased body, it must make acts of political and cultural violence pretty easy.
93
@77

She actually has an alien from Alien in there. Wasn't the whole thing about women penetrating men? I thought these were feminine figures that represented the fear the male has with birth.
94
@9 - my first thought was self-parody - not sure if it's intentional or not, but that seems to match Poe's Law.

@10 - where is raku?
95
I do love the fact that she's trying to make an argument from nature that heterosexual intercourse is morally wrong, and yet somehow manages to avoid ever talking about how other primates and mammals procreate. Is every male dog a rapist? Every chimpanzee?

But again: do not poke the crazy person.
96
The good news is that from reading this blog post I have now boosted my ability to sext and/or cyber by at least 125% :)

Radman6969- I'm so hard right now.
ArtBasketSara- Mmmm, I bet... I can't wait for you to shake me like you're stuffing a corpse ;)
Radman6969- ???
ArtBasketSara- USE MY INSIDES AS A RECEPTACLE FOR YOUR PENILE DEJECTION!!
*Radman6969 has signed out*
97
So if a woman masturbates with a dildo, is she raping herself?
98
@74 - why would the matriarchy eradicate male homosexuality? I would expect it to be mandatory if anything.
99
And if I use a fleshlight, am I raping that inanimate object?

And if that fleshlight was made in the likeness of, say, some pornstar, am I raping her?
100
@93 I'm ashamed to say that I never saw the later Alien movies. I dare you to post your point as a comment on her blog. Tried reading some other postings but they are hard to get through and kind of sad.
101
@97 / 99 Yes and yes! The first would be a woman colonized by the male patriarchy, unable to think for herself whatsoever, consumed by thoughts of submitting to men - she rapes herself on their behalf. The second one: "Sex for men is the unilateral penetration of their penis into a woman (or anything else replacing and symbolising the female orifice)" - although this phrase is a bit confusing.
102
@42, the reasoning I've heard about gay men goes something like this:

1. Straight men are awful because they see women as mere objects to fuck.

2. Gay men are even worse, because they don't even see women as good for that.

    Please wait...
