This can't be good press for Google, seeing as how she's employed by them and is calling for them to take over the country and end Democracy. I wonder if her real goal, along with attention of course, is to concoct grounds for a wrongful termination suit.
2
But... there's someone who's wrong on the internet. How will they know how wrong they are if I don't spend hours of my life obsessing over how wrong they are?

Sounds crazy, but, there is a branch of political philosophy called Technocracy (although often applied to economics) and adherents get elected in Europe and other places.

I think there is a case to be made that many of our current issues are due, in fact, to the inability of government and business to break political-economic loggerheads and move ahead with clean energies like fuel cells, solar, and so on.

she'll be voting for Rand Paul in 2016
6
Maybe she should explain using puppets.

Tunney is a well-known blowhard and attention whore who thought Occupy was a platform for her own self-promotion. She's a halfwit. I find it very difficult to believe that her "work" at Google amounts to jack shit. "Tunney also tinkers with her software experiments, like a sophisticated poetry generator and Celeb Dial, a website that lets users make prank calls using celebrities’ voices." So tiresome. This is the kind of shit that makes people hate tech people.

For more of the same misguided notion, but a couple generations back, cf the "Northwest Technocrat" ... largely Boeing wonks, and maybe the genesis of Goodspaceguy.
9
Ah, as I suspected. Her job at Google is changing backup tapes. And fomenting revolution, of course.

Meanwhile, millions of non-bullshit people can't get jobs at all.
10
I'm sure the citizens of this great country won't mind paying for free food, massages, and party planners for all of the new "government" workers.

Let them eat click-through ads!
13
Yes, because the Occupy movement was such a success at changing government policy... Oh wait. That's right. It could never coalesce around any specific grievance, and accomplished nothing.

So far, her credibility is 0 for 1, even if taken at face value.

I'm beginning to worry that this time, the idiots caught up in the tech boom are starting to believe their own bullshit. Even more than usual.
15
Truly do not report on this person again.
16
As if we didn't have enough reason to detest these Randian jackoffs from Silicon Valley.

You can't just transfer administrative authority to The Tech Industry™. It's not something that you just dump something on. It's not a big truck. It's a series of tubes.

Please wait...
