My two favorite things from this week:

1. When asked about his elbow injury, Richard Sherman said, “If I had to slap my brother, I’d be able to do it."

2. Michael Bennett's brother, Martellus Bennett, who plays for the Bears, is also self-nicknamed, and that nickname is Black Unicorn. I love the Bennetts.

You know, maybe they should give all teams the same bye week and play the Pro Bowl then.

Spike deserves to go.

They used to do it the week after the Super Bowl. I didn't know they quit doing it in Hawaii.

WTB Skills competition. Forget an actual game, if you really want, have some 7v7 action, but give us pinpoint accuracy drills for QBs, give us 40 yd dashes for the various positions, give us weight lifting, etc. The Pro Bowl is a joke.

@1: Martellus is a wild man and I honestly wonder sometimes if he's maybe from outer space or some higher dimension. He once compared Marc Trestman to "Willy Wonka. Not the Johnny Depp one. The Johnny Depp one was really cool, but the first one before that, the 1943 version." (He meant the 1971 version.) I highly recommend ESPN writer David Fleming's account of spending Halloween with him.
The Black Unicorn is the best.
