Well, I would definitely prefer local over foreign (Spokane is in the PNW, so I count that as local). However, New York might as well be Belgrade. Somebody from San Francisco is at least from the West Coast. I don't think anybody who is from the East Coast can ever have a good grasp on this region…even Vancouver B.C. is way, way less foreign than Brooklyn.

I've said this before, but a Cascadia doug fir tattoo should be a minimum requirement to work for Seattle alternative media.
