When are we going to legalize pot in New York? This "war" only feeds cash into criminal enterprises. The maraschino cherry guy was probably harmless, but many of the smuggling gangs aren't.

It's too bad, he might have had a good chance of beating any charges; the cops couldn't get a warrant to search for drugs after repeated attempts so they "partnered" with the Department of Environmental Conservation for an "inspection" that just happened to turn up drugs behind a secret door that the cops probably tipped the inspectors about.
