@15 Democrats have only themselves to blame for running a lousy candidate that couldn't get people to the box in 2000 (the 2nd lowest voter turnout since WW2). Same thing is likely to happen if Hillary is the nominee given her actual voting record on policy (wars, "free trade", police state, reregulating Wall Street, etc...)

Not to put down missing child alerts, but it seems like now Android comes with a built in section whose defaults are set to On for Amber Alerts, as I found out while sitting at Starbucks and what sounded like an air raid siren came on my Alcatel OneTouch Elevate and then a voice on a loudspeaker that said....Shouted!...the name of the missing kid. The red messages were a small afterthought (and I see no way to clear it out of my Messages list!)

After that I set it all to off, calculating that my chances of being the one guy in a million who happens to see the 1998 blue Camry speeding down Kent-Kangley would be slim to none. I might turn it back on if I can figure out how to make not make me want to run for a yellow and black fallout shelter sign.

I'll use @15's (dumb-ass) comment as an excuse to point out the one flaw of Sanders running for prez: the senate is more relevant to our picky than the White House, and a sanders victory would leave a vacancy where we need at least 10 more like him. I hope sanders sees this and offers some campaign help for progressives running for senate and house seats.

If the republicans were smart, they would skip their convention and declare Jim Webb the republican nominee. Fortunately they are really stupid and they will have their little gathering of paste eating mouth breathers and appoint the craziest person still standing to drive their clown bus off the cliff somewhere south of crazy town .
