The dirty floor explanation is very plausible. So is the warmth one. Here are more:
(1) Except when dealing with foot-fetishism, a man hot to trot is pretty much ready for action when he gets the rest of him uncovered,and has no time for incidentals.

I don't think I've ever noticed socks in porn. Besides, they can't be too cold - isn't all porn filmed in the Valley, at sunset, the day of a harvest moon, between 3 men and a consenting 18 year old (27 year old) women, or a consenting MILF (28 year old).

Is it gay porn or straight porn that guys are wearing socks? My guess is that you would see more socks in gay porn than straight porn. I think it's a fetish or part of an image that is being projected.

Women aren't wearing heels in porn because the floor is dirtyj or to keep their feet warm. What heels keep feet warm? I think its how you see things, I have noticed a recurring but sometimes inconsistant use of black dress socks almost always in straight porn flicks which seems almost like a power trip while simultaneously in gay porn they often wear white socks.
