So, the universal dislike (or is it just unease) of Martha Stewart is noted, and acknowledged. Fine. We laughed when she went to prison, because she was dumb and committed a silly crime. We gawk and retch at the designs she comes up with or the instructions that she gives, no biggie.
However, this shouldn't even be news. No matter, someone decided it was and published it.
But - is this presented by DS as the 'Headline of the Day' supposed to make us think it's funny?

If it had been any other dog owner - or perhaps Savage's own family pet - would it have been laughable as well? Or is it just because Martha the individual is so off-putting that her personal pain is now worth laughing at?

If Martha didn't miss a beat I couldn't hold it against her though: The show must go on, and she knows it. There are plenty of better reasons to find her appalling, if need be.

To be honest, I'd be very surprised if she tweets her own tweets. I'm sure she has a very young intern that is fed material from the MSO PR department who didn't stop to think how insensitive it would seem. Especially the Chinese lunch choice.

sorry, i lurv me some martha, even if she twittered about lunch after her dog exploded.

I've been wiped out for at least a week after each of my dogs died.

Heck - I'm even wiped out that the Belgian Sheepdog I was hoping to make my next baby reabsorbed the litter. (Though I did eat that day...)

But I've discovered that not everybody is like me. (Surprise!) Martha does love her dogs. I'll err on the sympathy side.
