@2: Yes to WPA for store/browser, no to WPA for normal DS games. I am writing this comment on the DSi right now, which, admittedly, is convenient. But the laptop is right there...
No WPA for normal DS games because of backwards compatibility. This upgrade is pretty ho-hum, but there is huge potential in the downloadable content. If this enables stuff like World of Goo for the DS, or bonus songs for Guitar Hero on Tour, it could be really great.
@5: Kiss your latter dream goodbye; you can't play GH On Tour on the DSi, as they nixed the GBA slot. I'd emphasize that in my review more, but I didn't like DS Guitar Hero, so I don't care.
What about the spec bump? 4x RAM, processor that blows the phat/lite away... I'm looking forward to the DSi only games, if they uses the full system resources.
I'm just hoping they open up app development more than with WiiWare. Seeing a twitter or Google Maps program would be cool.
I like that it connects to my WPA2 wireless connection, and that the browser can be accessed without having to insert any cartridges. The browser is also much faster than the cartridge based version.
Though now I'm wishing I'd gotten a picture of the bum on the train yesterday.
