Seriously, Erica. I, a woman, read and adored Kavalier and Clay. It's brilliant writing and an ingenious, absorbing story. To say that you read the first few chapters and put it down makes me completely discount your opinion. If you are going to pan a book, particularly in such a silly, reductionist way, you should at least read the damn thing!
