Sotomayor was appointed by George Bush, the Great One:

Bush 41 Nominated Sotomayor? Well, Technically

http://blog.newsweek.com/blogs/thegaggle…

A fair number of Republicans voted in favor of her nomination at the time. According to the 1992 Senate roll call of the vote, she attracted support from seven Republicans who are still in office and will be weighing in on her Supreme Court nomination: Robert Bennett, Thad Cochran, Susan Collins, Judd Gregg, Orrin Hatch, Dick Lugar and Olympia Snowe.

Could you link to any original writings or analysis of her position on privacy rights? If she really is a strong supporter, I'd be very pleased, because taking privacy rights seriously is a good foundation on which to build libertarian policies. Privacy is fundamentally about the idea that the government should have no say in the private sphere, and thus I would expect that a strong supporter of privacy rights would regard, for example, minimum wage and anti-descrimination legislation as violating privacy rights.

PRAY PEOPLE PRAY

If the GOP calls her a Latina whore in the Senate, Latino voters will abandon them for two generations.

Great choice. Obama is ready for the fight that the GOP will lose.

And she loves her mother, brother and step dad.

All bets are off when it comes to the gay thing. If she was specifically pro-gay, Barack Obigot wouldn't have chosen her. Assume the worst.

EQUAL rights, Eli. Not gay ones.

Wait. She is a dyke... Isn't she?

By all means, GOP, go after her with everything you've got... then wonder why what's left of your support among women and/or Hispanics dries up like a puddle in an Arizona parking lot.

By all means, LBGTQI community, let's subject her to the usual Politicorrectness test and the minute she diverges in the slightest from The Party Line, throw up our hands and begin the "Obama's Sold Us Out" song-and-dance.

Man, Andy nailed it.
