Wait. $10 pitchers of Rainier? Did I read that right?

two words:

Awe.

Some.

Next year I should have a place to drink before Mariners games and Showbox shows.

Here is a photo of Seattle's original Hooverville on the approximate location of the bar. You can see the Smith Tower in the background.

that's ok, the UW has a FB group opposed to Nickelsville moving on campus.

I loved having a beer at Hooverville before the game. I'm glad it'll be back. I saw the Big Hurt, Frank Thomas there last year in his civvies while his team was down the street and into the second inning. I hope he enjoyed the Manny's.

amen. it's been a struggle to find a good place to drink before games this season. a few weeks ago their had been no action inside the building.

anyone know if the rumors of bowling lanes in back are true? :)
7
i don't drink pitchers anymore (i barely drink beer), but is that supposed to be a bargain?

@7

I don't understand, either. I live to drink beer, and that isn't anything to flip out over. $7, or even $8, sure. $10? No.
9
Ten dollars is expensive for a pitcher of Rainier... hence the cognitive dissonance.

Well I'm not going to beat myself up over it. I only read the bold. That's the problem with bolding. You might be pointing something out, but what's actually happening is you're telling me to only read the bold. Then it's comment city.

Ah, good point then, @9.

Please wait...
