Wow, this doesn't sound good. Funding problems are hitting hard.
Does anyone know if Media 911 is going to be able to stay in their location, or are they still moving out and regrouping at a smaller space in the U-District?
I just gave $10 from everyone in my family. The NWFF is among the finest jewels of this city's cultural life, it cannot be allowed to go under. Please people: Give.
Yes, I'll give $10, it's a great organization, but it sounds like they need a lot of money on short notice - since we've known since forever that this year was going to be tough, how does a $70,000 critical shortfall sneak up on an organization - isn't everyone there (and at all non-profits), like, checking their balance sheet daily, if not hourly?!?

i'll be renewing my membership this weekend, hopefully they make it through this. 70 grand in two weeks seems pretty drastic though, I wonder how it came to that.
have you considered showing films people would actually go see? like die hard or all the lethal weapon movies back to back.. yeah Mel Gibson i'll give ya 10 bucks to see Rambo..
any movie with a gun on the jacket cover, that would but butts in the seats. i guess what im sayn' is I do love what they are doing but the over head seems a little steep to cater to few film nerds when the majority of people want to be dazzled with c.g.i.. or maybe they should just start serving alcohol.

I can't wait for the 'new old days' so that the fading echoes of "SSSCRRRREEEEWWWW YOU ARCTIC WALRUS!" fade into non-existance....
