I'm reminded of that photographer--forget his name now--who specializes in landscapes that have been denuded by industrialization. Highly recommend the movie someone made about him.
No Jen, thank YOU for bringing us this beautiful, haunting photograph... My eyes have been alternately resting on it and devouring it for the last few minutes. It's like a visual symphony and the fact that it's technically a picture of something "ugly" just makes it all the better.
Are you kidding me? I also love the photo, and the rest of the New Topo photographers - what I don't love is superficial drivel. You're supposed to be an art critic for one of the few remaining legit media outlets. Try cracking a book (or even us the Internets) to learn more about what you attempt to write about.
