This would make for an interesting social experiment ... maybe Charles set up the JosMu and Paris@ accounts to see how many sloggites would take the bait.
So your sister is married, she gets some kind of autospam virus or whatever (sorry, I don't use Twitter so I don't keep up on it), and sends you a message that, at this point, you likely know is not actually your sister.
Then you post this, implying that it's a real message from your sister, and you call her out on Slog by name? Someone please tell me I'm interpreting this situation incorrectly. It sounds like Charles is being a giant flaming asshole to his own sister, and in a public forum no less.
If you get a message like this, that means the person who sent it to you was stupid enough to click on a similar link sent to them. I for one think it's hilarious to see who falls for these "LOL... It's this you???? haha www.bitly.iamspam/"
I'd also like to note that being utterly skeptical about the sincerity of every face, tone of voice, and communication occasionally pays off! A slight alienation from everyone you know is a small price to pay.

One of the many amazing things about the Internet is that no matter how blindingly obvious the joke, there is always someone, somewhere who simply won't get it. Furthermore, no matter how innocent the joke may be, there is always someone who will find a way to be offended by it.
Damn, I didn't even realize Mudede was joking around until I read all the comments. I know you've got a fairly dry sense of humor, but the least you could've done is said that she's married. I thought she was just using twitter to hook up with guys.
@31: It's not implied that a reposted twitter message would be directed at the reposter. If there was an @charlesmudede somewhere in there, I (and all the other commenters) would have understood the joke Charles was making. As is, it looks like "The problem with Twitter" is seeing your sister attempting skeezy hookups, or maybe just that there is spam on Twitter. Oh well. Not a bad joke, but it needed just a bit more context.

Charles, did you really think that is a plausible message that your sister would send? And if so, wouldn't you agree she should be offended?

Hello... internet 101.
And who cares what her name is. We know what Charles' full name is, and he's fine.
Sounds like you have an E-Lectra Complex.
Or maybe an Oed-e-text Complex!
Get it -- "e" Lectra....hah hah hah ....cough...sputter....

No need to respond. The answer is obviously yes.
Beyond the complete inappropriateness of outing your sister on Slog, what relevance does your post have to readers?
What a jackass.
see now even it had been explained from the beginning, a lot of these folks still wouldn't get it..
