Awful story.

I grew up in a small Alabama town. A 33 year age difference means you are old enough to be the person's grandparent.

I wonder if this will start a new precedence and we'll soon be remembering the days when wackos did stuff like this because they couldn't afford to feed their children or had lost their job and were about to lose their home.

My God, it just doesn't get more sick than this. Some might deny it all they want but this is what radical fringe behaviors can ultimately lead to. I guess the only positive thing in this at all could be not only that this precious life was spared from the lunacy of her radical parents but that she wont remember any of it. I guess what ever family finally ends up taking care of her will do her a greater good if they never tell her this.

The point of this series of posts, Ana, is that, contrary to common homophobic dogma, het parents can be as fucked up as homo parents (if not more so--gays really have to want it to become parents, so they tend to be better prepared by the time they actually are parents).

I don't see how this is any stranger than all the people that have killed their children and/or spouses because they thought Satan had taken over them, or that they were sending their families to heaven.

Or killed themselves just because someone broke up with them.

If the Earth was going down in a big blaze of destructive glory, I'd personally want to go down with it and watch the show, not die before it ends.
