Equality Fail; Population Control WIN!

I don't think it makes her a bad mother or a bad woman but I do think it makes life awfully hard. Working full time with a small child is doable, but it's incredibly draining. I think countries like England, where you can take off a full year if you want and then go back to work part time, have a much more civilized approach than the U.S., where many people don't even get the 12 weeks ensured by FMLA (not applicable to companies under 50 people). Putting a one-month, or two-month old in full time daycare is kind of insane.

There are only 24 hours in a day and time spent by parents working is not time spent parenting.
As the species has placed less and less emphasis on parenthood and parenting the products of it's parenting have become shittier and shittier.
We delude ourselves into thinking we can compensate with 'quality time' but that is bullshit born of arrogance and selfishness.
Species that forget to take care of the basics soon learn that Darwin is an unforgiving bitch.

Regardless of the social setup, women are awful to each other. There will probably be a lot of that in this comment thread, but I probably won't be able to resist reading it anyway.

It's good not to be a Korean woman. Important to be thankful for things every day!
7
...and yet, Korean women still look like women unlike their American counterparts.
