So This Is How They Think Up Some of Those Exhibition Titles

Comments

1
Relational Ground: The Dysfunction of Progress
2
"Apposite Illusion: Daring to Defy Urban Experience"

Huh, not bad.
3
Hilarious and stunningly accurate. Is this a collection of real exhibition titles? It could be.
4
"Whither Rubbish: A Retrospective of Interactivity"

Well, I now have a title, I better get to work.
5
Extravagant Ground? Achieving and Undermining Misfortune

Winning and losing at the same time.
6
Extravagant Media: The Dysfunction of Dysfunction. /facepalm
7
Queering Charm: A Remix of Aesthetic Forms and Their Opposites

Ha...! I could almost really use that for my current paintings...
8
"whither banality: queers and gender"

awesome!
9
This suggests audience participation, and could actually be fun:

Romancing Gaming: Queers and Interactivity
10
"Queering Banality: John Waters and Urban Experience"
Some of them are just nonsense, some are the sort of nonsense that takes a minute to unravel as nonsense though, and that's funny. This one could easily be the title bad film theory book.
11
"Remixing Charm: Queers and the Avant Garde"--I'm there!!
12
I got "The Bureaucracies of Imagination: The Video Art of the Status Quo."

I think I've attended that one. I sent this to all the museum people I know.
13
I can't decide if these are brilliant or idiotic. My favourites so far:

#2: "Extravagant Extravaganza: The Video Art of Sameness"

#1: "An Overwhelming Banality: The Dysfunction of Too Many Dinner Parties"
14
Decadent Imagination: A Juried Show of Remediation
15
Collective Gaming: The Video Art of Misfortune
